A groundbreaking tool for biomedical literature review and synthesis, powered by the Intelligent Systems for Computational Biology (ISCB) at COSBI.
WISE is designed to empower biologists with a comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art algorithms, reducing barriers to the daily use of advanced AI-driven methods in biomedical research.
At its core, WISE leverages a specialized Knowledge Graph (KG), integrating data from scientific literature, preprints, and curated databases into a harmonized, structured format. Each KG is tailored to a specific research topic, aligned with an ongoing COSBI project, and continuously reviewed by expert biologists to ensure accuracy and relevance.
By combining rigorous expert review with a flexible, interactive computational platform, WISE bridges the gap between human expertise and AI-driven insights, addressing the unique research challenges of our partners.

Ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI-generated insights, minimizing the risk of misinformation and false conclusions. Scientific research demands rigorous validation, and our priority is to ensure that WISE produces trustworthy, reproducible results that researchers can confidently rely on.
From case-specific pipelines to modular, controllable tools – Currently, WISE operates on case-specific workflows, but to enhance flexibility and precision, we aim to develop a suite of smaller, specialized tools. This modular approach will allow researchers to control and refine each step of the analysis, ensuring greater transparency, adaptability, and scientific rigor.
